The Counselling Line for Women and Girls (CLWG)

The Counselling Line for Women and Girls (CLWG) was founded in 1996 by a group of visionary Albanian women intellectuals and activists as a civic response to the alarming rates of gender-based violence and patriarchal oppression in post-transition Albania. Since then, CLWG has grown into a pioneering, multidisciplinary organization working to advance gender equality, promote human rights, and ensure access to justice and protection for women, girls, and marginalized groups across the country.

Rooted in the belief that a life free from violence is a fundamental human right, CLWG offers holistic, survivor-centered services while also influencing national systems and legislation to build a safer, more equitable Albania.
