The Counseling Line for Women and Girls presented the study “The Court in Protection of Victims,” which analyzes how the Albanian judicial system handles domestic violence cases.
The study, developed under the project “Strengthening Judicial Integrity and Improving Access to Justice for Survivors of Violence,” analyzed 369 court decisions from January to August 2025.
Findings showed that only 48% of protection order requests were accepted, highlighting the need for increased gender sensitivity and improved protection standards.
The study also identified challenges such as lack of suitable infrastructure, limited transparency, and barriers for persons with disabilities.
